Opinion of the Week

This week I honestly do not have an opinion.  I can’t always have an opinion, mostly because I’m always going in ten thousand different directions and I’m always thinking about the next thing that I need to take care of.  I guess you could say that my opinion is that you can’t always have an opinion, yeah you could be thinking about something but you could always just soak it in and let it go.  I can’t always dwell or think about something that may be going on, I need to focus on the things that I need to take care of.

My opinion on stupid girls

Over the years I’ve realized that there are many types of girls.  There are the ones who are really chill and just go with the flow, and then there are every other girl. The ones who are ditzy, fake, and mean. Those are the stupid girls. These girls bother me because I cannot stand when I have to deal with them.  They talk behind each others backs and then they tell you that that they love you to your face.  I’m sick of dealing with the fake bullshit that they feed to people, and everyone else is usually too nice to realize it until it’s too late.  Girls just need to learn how to be themselves, instead of being someone who is fake.  No one wants to be around that, I don’t, and I don’t know who does.

My Ideal Mate

Anyone could be your ideal mate, but when i think of my ideal mate they are someone who I would want to spend the rest of my life with.  Obviously I need to be able to trust the, they need to be someone who can love me unconditionally, and someone that I can love unconditionally.  I would want them to be someone who is involved in sports because I want them to be active like me. I would want them to have a similar personality like mine, so that they can understand my sarcasm. I would also like them to have the same likes as me so that we can do a lot together.

Travis Barker Survives Plane Crash

Late last month Travis barker (former drummer from Blink-182) survived a plane crash.  He’s always been afraid of planes and one of his greatest fears was to be in a plane crash.  He is suffering from second and third degree burns and is being treated for them at a burn center.  

 

It was ironic that one of his biggest fears is be in a plane crash.  This is amazing that he survived because that is one huge fear that he may have to overcome.  It would be hard for me to know that I survived a plane crash but three other people on the flight didn’t. I wouldn’t know what to do, it would make me think about about life and why I survived and the others didn’t.

My room (week 4)

My dorm room is the same as anyone else’s.  It’s the same size, height, and color and it’s very boring.  I was able to add my own kick to it though.  The Rancid poster hangs at the opposite end of the room across from my bed.  My sheets are either bright blue or pink polka dots, the comforter is black and my tie-dye blanket lays over the bed.  My desk is filled with post-it notes along with my books, pictures, and jewelry.  The carpet in the room makes the room more comfortable and homey, which is a good because sometimes I wish that I was home but this is good enough for me.

Debate Offers Palin, Biden High Risks, Big Rewards (Week 4)

This article is about the two vice presidents that are running for office with McCain and Obama.  It explains how many people are starting not to support Palin because of her lack of experience and how also Biden might not get the support that he needs because he might come off as too strong towards Palin, because she is a woman. 

 

Everyone already knows that I don’t like or agree with Palin, she’s someone who is not fit for office and she shouldn’t even be running. That’s beside the point.  Palin does not have the experience that is needed for office; she has only been a governor for one term.  She also does not know about America’s foreign policies that well, she knows more about Russia because “Alaska is close to Russia”. 

 

Biden on the other hand has the experience but he lacks in the personable department.  He can come off as a jerk because some of his comments could come off as too strong for Palin because she is a woman, which is sexist because just because Palin is woman that doesn’t mean that she can’t take a hard verbal beating.  She’s been getting it from the press why not one more person?

I chose this quote because Atreyu is one of my favorite bands and “The Theft” is one of their best songs.  The song shows good imagery every time I listen to this song I can see it happening in my head. It is very depressing but I love how descriptive it is and how it can relax someone because if just listen to the song with headphones and drown all other sound out all you see are the images that emerge. 

“Tool” (Week 4)

Tool

 

One who lacks the mental capacity to know he is being used. A fool. A cretin.  Characterized by low intelligence and/or self-esteem.

 

 

I chose this word because it’s a word I use often to describes someone who is a jerk, and idiot, or just plain stupid.  It gives a good description on someone who annoys me.  When it’s said aloud it sounds strong because it starts with a “T”. It makes me feel at least a little better because I’m getting  a little bit of my annoyance out when I say it, because some people are just tools, they just don’t know it. 

 

Chairs (Week 4)

 

This is another one of my images that I have created in high school.  This was in the Lake County art show and I won a blue ribbon for best digital photograph.  I didn’t think that I would receive a blue ribbon for any of my work in that show.  

 

I wanted to create the illusion of water when I took this picture.  It was apart of my series for my AP portfolio and I took it in my high school. Whenever people looked at it they were surprised that it was our high school. 

For what it’s Worth (Guest Column)

This girl Ashley is an idiot. She says that she agrees with Sara Palin because of her “strong beliefs”. She thinks that McCain and Palin are qualified for office because they have good morals, does that mean that Obama doesn’t? No, it doesn’t. Just because they have “good morals” that does not mean that they are going to make the changes that are necessary for this country, I’m sick of people bringing their twisted morals into politics. The biggest issue though is abortion.  She talks about it and also goes into how Palin is for women but she just against poor choices that they may make. Just because her daughter is pregnant and unmarried that doesn’t mean that she isn’t being hypocritical, she is.  If her daughter had a low income and didn’t have the support of her mother then I’m sure she would get an abortion. I’m not going to go into great detail about circumstances that could happen but Palin is not making the right decision by basically saying that a women does not have the right to choose.  People who are pro-life do not believe in a woman’s right to choose, try and make an argument, you won’t win. I’m old enough to choose who to vote for, and I’m terrified that my rights could be taken away.  I don’t want my world run by people who live their lives by the bible, that terrifies the hell out of me.
